Links to Material Suppliers

Inside Fisheries Supply
RevChem Plastics is a great source of all of the glass/carbon/hybrid materials to build a Swift.  Be sure to let them know you are with the class and they have the complete package.  The Revchem link would take you to the California office so you'll want to call or email them.   Talk to Marv (253) 305-0303 or you can email him @ mfleck@revchem.com

Banks Sails of Portland is our sail maker. These sails are not a class requirement, however, Dale has done all of the R&D for the class and provides top quality sails at a great price. Our sail design is state of the art, thanks to Dale

Forte RTS is our mast builder in the US. While their masts, booms, and spinnaker poles are not a class requirement, they have worked with us to get the bend characteristics right for our sails. I recommend their spars.

Classic Boat Kits
is a supplier of the highest quality cedar strips. They have made a special deal with our class and will ship anywhere in the world.

Raven is a supplier of the highest quality cedar strips. The have struck a deal with the class and can ship anywhere in the world.

Phil's Foils is a supplier of blades and rudder cassettes for the Swift

Flying Foam. com is a supplier of foam blanks for blades, launcher throats, tillers, and rudder cassettes.

Kokatat makes one of the best gore-tex drysuits for those who sail in cold water. These suits remain comfortable in much warmer tempatures than non-breathable drysuits

Sweet Composites
John R Sweet is a great source of s-glass and carbon fiber tape. Be sure to specify that you want the different wieghts of s-glass rolled on separate tubes. It will cost a little more for shipping, however, it will eliminate a lot of hassle later.

US Composites
This is a good source for hybrid cloth

Fisheries Supply
This is simply the best place to order materials and equipment to build boats. The Owner, Carl Sutter is a longtime supporter of high performance sailing and helped us build the 505 class in the 70's. They have the best industrial abrasives, long boards for fairing, WEST epoxy and fillers, and just about everything else you need. These are the guys who teamed up with Ronstan to put together the huge discounts on the hardware package for our class.

CST Composites

CST builds spars and has several Swift spars that are about to appear on Swifts in Australia and the US.
